I offer face-to-face and online individual career counselling sessions and workshops, allowing women to openly talk about their career challenges. I offer an objective and dynamic career counselling service that is unique to every woman and her situation. This is where I work with you to identify the type of work or field that is most suitable to you and your unique set of circumstances. The first question I usually get is “I want to know what career I’m most suited to?” And this comes down to many factors, all of which we'll work through together.
You will discover the careers best suited to your interests, values, strengths, weaknesses, and personality.
We will explore the many career options available and then you will research and identify the most suitable career option. You will learn about all the different training, course, or university options.
This is where we work together to identify clear and realistic career goals, and then develop a detailed action plan on how to achieve them so that you are on your way to a fulfilling career.
To stay employed and advance in your chosen career it is essential to be dedicated, committed, and to work hard, developing long-term goals will help you immensely.
A more thoughtful and planned approach to job seeking is to actually plan to and establish a career. Instead of applying for any job, the person who is career orientated will focus their attention on a particular field of work such as sales, administration, animal care, nursing or horticulture.
When you can focus on a certain area it will help to strengthen your skills and knowledge in that particular area, allowing you to develop a sound understanding of what’s required and what’s happening in that field of employment.
Even if you’re just looking to accept any job so that you can pay your bills, having a career plan will increase your awareness of specific opportunities that can support your long term goals.
The more sure you are of what you want to do, the more motivation and enthusiasm you will bring to your job seeking in your particular field.
Together we can…
- Create ways to build a winning/growth mindset - This can really help job seekers to avoid feeling frustrated and disappointed if they’ve experienced many rejections
- Tailor your CV and cover letter for specific roles
- Find alternative ways to apply for jobs
- Develop ways to market and brand yourself
- Help build your confidence when applying for specific roles
- Drill down on what you have to offer, where you want to end up and figure out how you’re going to get there
- Expand on your interview and telephone skills
